PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AMSOIL SAE 30 Synthetic Diesel Oil is a super heavy-duty
diesel lubricant chemically designed for use in commercial
and industrial applications where requirements call
for a CF, CF-2 or SH lubricant. AMSOIL Diesel Oil
is recommended for virtually every diesel application,
including truck fleets, mining, earth moving, farming
and stationary engines. In every engine tested (including
Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins and Mack), the
advanced 12 TBN additive system of AMSOIL Diesel Oil
significantly reduced ring wear, cylinder bore polishing,
cylinder liner wear, oil consumption, piston deposits
and ring breakage. The extended drain intervals allowable
with AMSOIL Diesel Oil reduce vehicle downtime and
waste oil disposal costs.
Reduces Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Diesel Oil loses only 6.3 percent of its mass
to high temperature volatility. Conventional oils
often lose over 15 percent. Due to its low volatility,
AMSOIL Diesel Oil maintains a low rate of oil consumption
and hydrocarbon emissions and retains its original
viscosity after high temperature service for continued
dependable protection and excellent fuel economy.
Resists Oxidation and
Thermal Breakdown
AMSOIL Diesel Oil resists oil breakdown from heat,
blowby chemicals and oxygen up to ten times longer
than do conventional oils. AMSOIL Diesel Oil resists
forming sludge and varnish deposits, which contribute
to corrosion, decreased fuel efficiency and increased
engine wear. AMSOIL Diesel Oil doesn't thicken like
conventional oils, but maintains its viscosity, providing
peak engine performance and extended drain intervals.
Also, the advanced heat transfer capabilities and
high lubricity of AMSOIL Diesel Oil reduces the operating
temperatures of engines and transmissions.
Extended Drain Intervals
AMSOIL Diesel Oil is formulated for extended drain
intervals. Its unique synthetic formulation, improved
detergent/dispersant capabilities and long drain additive
package ensures maximum engine protection, cleanliness
and performance over extended drain periods. In addition,
the advanced 12 TBN additive package of AMSOIL Diesel
Oil neutralizes acids and keeps the engine clean and
in top-running condition.
Provides Low Temperature
Protection
AMSOIL Diesel Oil remains fluid at temperatures as
low as -39°C (-38°F). AMSOIL Diesel Oil circulates
rapidly to all engine parts to provide immediate cold
start protection. The ability of AMSOIL Diesel Oil
to lubricate at low temperatures greatly reduces wear
and increases engine life.
Improves Fuel Economy
and Reduces Emissions
The premium quality synthetic base stocks in AMSOIL
Diesel Oil provide a tough lubricating film on all
engine parts, reducing friction and fuel consumption.
Reduced fuel consumption also means less exhaust emissions.
Prevents Rust and Corrosion
AMSOIL Diesel Oil contains special rust-inhibiting
additives to reduce rust, which makes it ideal for
equipment stored long term.
APPLICATION
AMSOIL SAE 30 Synthetic Diesel Oil exceeds the following
engine tests.
- API Service CF, CF-2, CG-4, CH-4,
SH, SJ
- ACEA/CCMC D4, PD2
- MIL-L-2104F
- Caterpillar Powershift Trans. TO-2
and TO-3
- Allison C-3 and C-4
- Mack EO-L
- M.A.N. 270
- Mercedes-Benz AG 227.0, 228.0
- Scania Long Drain
- Volvo VDS
- VW 505.00
MIXING AMSOIL
AMSOIL Diesel Oil is compatible with petroleum lubricants;
however, mixing AMSOIL Diesel Oil with a conventional
oil will shorten the drain period of the AMSOIL Diesel
Oil. Diesel oil additives or after-market products
are not recommended for use with AMSOIL Diesel Oil.
SERVICE LIFE
In diesel engines, fleet vehicle engines and industrial
engines, such as stationary gasoline engines: drain
oil at intervals up to three times as long as those
recommended by the engine manufacturer as long as
extended drains are supported by the findings of a
used oil analysis program.
In personal cars and light trucks with
non-turbocharged gasoline engines and marine craft:
drain oil at intervals up to three times as long as
those recommended by the engine manufacturer or at
one-year intervals, whichever comes first.
In turbocharged gasoline engines: drain
oil at intervals up to twice as long as engine manufacturers'
recommended drain intervals or at one-year intervals,
whichever comes first.
In high performance and racing engines:
change oil based on the findings of oil analysis.
In motorcycles, ATVs and related gasoline
engines: drain oil at engine manufacturer's recommended
drain interval.
If the vehicle is equipped with an AMSOIL
Oil Filter, the filter should be changed at 12,500-mile
or six-month intervals (whichever comes first) in
gasoline engines and 7000-mile or six-month intervals
(whichever comes first) in diesel engines. Non-AMSOIL
oil filters should be changed at the engine manufacturer's
recommended filter change intervals.
